British Sausage Week is celebrated every November and it’s marked by an annual awards ceremony celebrating the nation’s ‘Sausages of Distinction’. We’re proud to say that this year 11 of our sausages have won awards, 7 Golds and 4 Silver, including our new Low Fat Thick Pork Sausage being awarded the North’s Best Banger!
The awards ceremony was hosted by two-star Michelin chef and British Sausage Week ambassador Michel Roux Jnr. He commented, ‘It’s time to re-think the humble banger and look beyond mash and gravy to give sausages a bit of the Michelin-star treatment – and the sausages in this year’s competition have definitely done that!’.
This accolade proves that whilst we’ve reduced the fat content of some of our sausages, we haven’t compromised on the taste.
