Our team of expert Butchers have a combined experience of 170 years with skills and expertise to keep our farmers happy and work to award-winning standards.
In honour of National Butchers’ Week we are celebrating our talented team who are at the heart of Blacker Hall Farm. They prepare high-quality meat that not only goes into our Butchery counter but also into our pies, sausage rolls, cooked deli meats and also to our expert chefs producing the menu in The Barn Café.
Our Butchers work closely with our farmers to ensure they get the best from the home and locally sourced meat, which is reflected in the array of awards the team have picked up in the past 12 months. We had a chat with some of the team in the run up to National Butcher’s week to find out what they enjoy about their jobs and what there favourite products are. One thing that stood out is how much they enjoy helping customers and giving advice and tips on preparing and cooking their produce to ensure the customer has a great dining experience.
