British Beef Week

Great British Beef Week, which will run from Saturday 23rd April to Monday 2nd May, is a national celebration of British beef, supporting British farmers, the role livestock production plays in managing the British countryside, and the consumption of beef as part of a healthy, nutritional, balanced diet.

What makes the beef from Blacker Hall Farm special?

Our beef is either reared on our own farm, or sourced from other local Yorkshire farms. All of the beef we sell has been grass-fed, with animal welfare being a priority at every stage of the rearing process. Our expert Butchery techniques result in lean and succulent cuts, and we have won a range of awards for our beef produce, including Best Roast in England for our Rib of Beef and a Great Taste award for our Sirloin Steaks.

This weekend, we will be offering 10% off our award-winning* Rumpette beef steak from The Butchery. Our Rumpette is cut from the very heart of the Rump steak, following the natural seams in the meat, meaning it’s extremely tender, of a size similar to beef fillet and with the unmistakeable flavour of rump steak.

We will also have 15% off Topside of Beef, a perfect roasting joint. These offers will both be available from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th April.

From Friday 29th April to Monday 2nd May we will be offering 10% off Sirloin Steak (Great Taste award-winning) and 15% off Topside of Beef.

Our Steak Pies are made with home and locally reared beef, slow cooked in our kitchens and then encased in our own hand-crafted pastry. Award-winning and great tasting, enjoy them with prepared Roast Potatoes or Potato Wedges and Beef Gravy for just £6. Celebrate Great British Beef Week with homemade Yorkshire produce!

We will have a different beef special sandwich every day at The Delicatessen:
Monday – Roast Beef Topside, Stilton and Onion Marmalade
Tuesday – Peppered Beef, Rocket and Horseradish Mayonnaise
Wednesday – Roast Beef Topside, Mature Cheddar Cheese and Tomato Chutney
Thursday – Pastrami, Emmental, Gherkin and Mustard Mayonnaise
Friday – Hot Beef Brisket and Gravy
