Great British Beef Week runs from Sunday 23rd April to Monday 1st May 2017, is a national celebration of British beef, supporting British farmers, the role livestock production plays in managing the British countryside, and the consumption of beef as part of a healthy, nutritional, balanced diet.
What makes the beef from Blacker Hall Farm special?
Our beef is from grass-fed cattle that has been reared either on our own farm, or sourced from other great local Yorkshire farms. The welfare of our cattle is our top priority – we rear happy cattle which in it’s turn also contributes to the superior quality and tenderness of the meat. Meat from grass-fed cattle is typically lower in fat than grain-fed and much higher in Omega-3s, making it the all-round healthier option to choose. Our expert Butchers have a combined experience of 170 years and use traditional techniques that result in lean and succulent cuts, and we have won a range of awards for our beef produce, including Best Roast in England for our Rib of Beef and a Great Taste award for our Sirloin Steaks.
