It’s that time of the year again and our homegrown broccoli has hit the shelves!
Our broccoli is fresh from the fields at Blacker Hall Farm. We love to hear your comments on our homegrown produce and hope that it’s another great year for one of our most popular vegetables.
We’re especially grateful to have had lots of help and advice from other local vegetable growers, and hope to extend this venture a little further each year to complement our core livestock farming business.
Broccoli is very low in calories and packed with lots of beneficial vitamins and minerals, including Vitamins C and A. It’s also high in fibre, so it’s great for the digestive system.
Steaming, microwaving and stir-frying are the best ways of cooking broccoli to maintain valuable nutrients.
