Our ambition is always to be a leading advocate for great Yorkshire fresh food, and as part of this ambition we have undergone an exciting refurbishment of our Butcher’s counter.
Not only are we farmers, with much of the meat that we sell at our Butcher’s counter coming from our own farm, but we are award-winning Butchers with over 18 years of experience of running a Farm Shop and Butchers. This renovation work enables us to showcase more of our produce, including new ranges, and it will improve your shopping experience with more space, more to choose from and much more of our expertise available to view.
You’ll can see our Butchers at work, and for you ‘foodies’ out there, our new dry-aging cabinet allows you the opportunity to pick your chosen Rib of Beef and specify exactly how long you would like us to age it for.
We have also added a dedicated wet fish counter, serving fresh fish and shellfish 7 days a week. We are partnering with Hodgsons Fish, a family business with over a century’s experience. Based in Hartlepool, not only are we stocking the best fresh fish from their own catch, but we will also work with them to ensure we feature the best of the world’s catch, guaranteeing a great quality and variety at all times.
Diets are changing and we appreciate the rise of flexitarian and reducitarian approaches to food and health. We’re excited about the launch of your Blacker Hall Fishmonger and the added variety it will offer you when planning regular midweek meals, dinner parties, special occasions and more.
As with all things Blacker Hall, we look to champion the best of fresh Yorkshire produce, so our customer will be able to cook from scratch using the highest quality ingredients, as well as pick up a selection of quick to cook, nutritious, homemade options when you simply don’t have time.
