Our bakery team is up with the lark every morning starting the day at around 2am to ensure a delicious supply of freshly baked goods for The Farm Shop, Café and Lunch Basket mobile lunch vans.
Pastry making is a timely process at Blacker Hall Farm, as we make all of our sweet and savoury pastry here for our pies, quiches and tarts. Luckily we have a plentiful supply of Yorkshire-milled flour!
Hubert is our Head Baker, he’s got over 15 years experience in our Bakery here at Blacker Hall farm. Hubert is responsible for making our range of traditional and flavoured breads, his favourite creation is our bacon and onion bread. The whole shop smells amazing when it emerges from the oven!
We also have a pastry team who produce traditional and mouth-watering pies and crumbles and delicious desserts, all made using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and seasonal produce. Our cheesecakes are firm customer favourites. We think it’s the cream and cream cheese from Longley Farm at Holmirth that makes these so special!
