BLACKER HALL BUTCHERY OPENING AT TONG GARDEN CENTRE 29TH APRIL 2022

We’re delighted to announce the expansion of the Blacker Hall Farm Butchery with the upcoming launch of our Butchery counter at Tong Garden Centre. This partnership is a natural extension of our Butchery, with the same focus on providing top quality, sustainable produce from our own family farm and other great local farms.

It’s been many months in the planning, and we’re now working on the final touches, and we can’t wait to open on 29th April and welcome you all. Just like at Blacker Hall Farm Shop, the pork and beef will be reared by us on our family farm, and the lamb and chicken and will come from our trusted local farmers, so we guarantee it will be the same high quality and taste delicious! 

BLACKER HALL AT TONG

Located in Hearty's Food Hall within Tong Garden Centre , our butchery counter boasts an abundance of homereared & local meat. All of which is expertly prepared by our friendly team of craft butchers, who will always be on hand to offer you expert advice, information, cooking recommendations and serving suggestions. We have everything from your favourite family staples, including our own homemade sausages. home-cured bacon and mid-week ready meals to the perfect cut of 21 day dry-aged steak and the finest roasting joints.

Our Butchery counter at Tong will be brimming with fresh award-winning meat from our own family farm. Including freshly prepared traditional roasts, steak cuts, dry-cured bacon and gammon, artisan sausages and a host of quick and slow-cook ready-to-cook dishes all prepared at Blacker Hall Farm by our expert Butchers. Our meat has won more than 60 awards over the years everything from Great Taste awards to Q Guild Butchery awards. Our Rib of Beef is officially England’s Best Roast Beef (EBLEX George Awards)!

FROM OUR FAMILY FARM

Just like at Blacker Hall Farm Shop 100% of the Pork and most of the Beef that will be on offer is from our own family farm. The remainder we source from local farmers who also share our ethos and high welfare standards. Farming is in our blood - we have been farming in Wakefield since 1901 and the farm has been passed down for the last 5 generations. Our cattle are raised with care the Blacker Hall way - we truly believe that happy animals give the best quality of meat.

Our craft butchers are proud to work with meat from our own family farm and other local farm. Saturday: 9am – 5.30pm

Sunday: 9:30am – 4pm*
