John Wright Turkeys is a family business with over 50 years experience. John was born in the farmhouse at Holme Farm, Hull, and still rears turkeys there with the help of his son, family and local staff.
Edward Garthwaite and his wife, Cheryl, are responsible for the running of The Farm Shop, whilst Mary (Edward’s sister) and her husband, Matthew, manage the family’s farm. This means looking after the cattle and pigs as well as managing the crops.
Danny is one of our artisan, independent producers, making his award-winning Barncliffe Brie from a small unit in Shelley, between Wakefield and Huddersfield. It’s a favourite amongst our customers and we keep our fingers firmly crossed that his supply can keep up with demand.
David Heap rears his white turkeys just a few miles away at Flowery Fields Farm near Holmfirth. Whilst we source our white turkeys from David all year round, clearly demand increases a hundredfold come Christmas!
