Toad-in-the-Hole with Apple Sauce

Our Managing Director, Edward Garthwaite, shares his go-to teatime meal that the whole family can enjoy. As it’s British apple season, he’s included a tasty twist on the standard Toad-in-the-Hole, and we’re sure you’re going to love it!

This dish can be on the table in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Chipolata Pork Cocktail Sausages
  • 3 Carrots
  • 1 Broccoli
  • 1 large or 2 small Beef Gravy Pots
  • 1 pack of 4 Yorkshire puddings
  • Apple Sauce

  1. Cook Chipolata Pork Cocktail Sausages in a pre-heated oven (180°C) for 15 minutes
  2. Meanwhile, chop carrots into batons and cook for 10 minutes. Prepare the broccoli and add to the carrots after 5 minutes.
  3. Place Blacker Hall Farm Shop Yorkshire Puddings onto a baking tray and add a teaspoon of Apple Sauce to each Yorkshire Pudding.
  4. Once the Chipolatas are cooked, remove from the oven and add 5 cocktail sausages to each Yorkshire Pudding. Place back in the oven for 4 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, heat Blacker Hall Farm Shop Beef Gravy ands drain vegetables.
  6. Serve Yorkshire Puddings with the Carrots and Broccoli, then add as much Gravy as you like! You can also serve with extra Apple Sauce for additional flavour.
