Strawberries, scones and Yorkshire’s answer to Pimm’s…all traditional Wimbledon food. Why not combine them with this delicious recipe for a perfect Wimbledon celebration!
- For the fruit:
- 3 tbsp. Sloemotion No. 7
- 1 tbsp golden caster sugar
- 1 punnet strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 large orange, cut into cubes
- Handful of mint leaves
- For the cream:
- 300ml double cream
- 2 tbsp icing sugar
- 50ml Sloemotion No.7
- Plus 4 of our homebaked scones
For the fruit, mix the Sloemotion No.7 and caster sugar in a bowl. Stir in the fruit, cover and infuse in the fridge for 1 hour, then stir in the mint leaves.
For the cream, in a large bowl whisk the cream, icing sugar and Sloemotion No.7 until the mix just holds its shape.
Enjoy with our freshly baked scones, halved. Top the bottom with half a spoonful of cream and a spoonful of fruit. Drizzle over some of the syrup (from the fruit), then sandwich together with the top half.
