Leg of Lamb on the Bone – Locally Reared Yorkshire Lamb
Succulent, tender, and full of flavour, our bone-in leg of lamb is reared just up the road in Penistone by local farmer George Wood. Perfect for slow roasting, this joint delivers rich, traditional flavour – ideal for Sunday lunch or a special family gathering.
Available Sizes:
• 1.5kg – Serves 3–4
• 2.8kg – Serves 6–8
Reared with care in the Yorkshire countryside, this is lamb you can feel good about – and taste the difference in every bite.
Cooking Instructions:
Start with a hot sear at 220°C for 15 minutes, then reduce to 190°C / 375°F / Gas 5 and cook for 20–25 minutes per 450g.
Spoon over the cooking juices during roasting to keep it moist and flavourful.
To check readiness, pierce the thickest part with a skewer and press:
• Red juices = Rare
• Pink juices = Medium
• Clear juices = Well done
Rest under foil for 20 minutes before carving to allow the juices to settle.
