Our mission is to be firmly on the map as a ‘must visit’ destination for fresh, seasonal and local food, and thanks to our award-winning products and exceptional customer service.

Locally grown fresh vegetables welcome you on arrival at the Farm Shop in our Greengrocery and it just keeps getting better from there. Our Butchery is at the heart of The Farm Shop brimming with fresh meat from our own family farm and other great local farms. Our cakes, ready meals and pies are all made here by our expert bakers & chefs. As well as our own produce, our Farm Shop is packed full of incredible food and drink from small-scale, family run, and artisan producers. We're always working hard to bring you the best value possible when it comes to taste, quality and provenance.


Our butchery still forms the backbone of our Farm Shop and we pride ourselves on being one of the best in the UK. 100% of the Pork and over 80% of the Beef on offer if from our own Family Farm the remainder we source from local farmers who also share our ethos and high welfare standards.

Our team of professional butchers live and breathe their passion for butchery and are experts when it comes to knowing which cut of meat is best for your cooking - their always happy to help.


Our Delicatessen counter is brimming with award-winning produce. From our famous pork pies to our honey roast ham, you’ll find everything you need fully prepared and ready to eat. It’s local too made with meat mostly from our own farm and Yorkshire milled flour for the pastry! Our homemade quiches are produced in our craft Bakery using local free-range eggs and cream from Longley Farm, Holmfirth. Visit us to sample our extensive range of meats, cheeses, olives and more.


When we’re not digging up our own homegrown produce, we’re forging relationships with local growers and farmers to ensure a consistently high standard of fruit and vegetables for our customers. We work with local family farmers, like John Darwin at Hoylandswaine who provides winter seasonal vegetables and Richard Spilman at Thirsk for Yorkshire soft fruits like strawberries. We also grow our own potatoes, broccoli and some other seasonal vegetables, so we’ll always have a full range of new and familiar foods across the seasons.

Our Team are our beating heart - we employ over 120 local people.


Delivering six days a week, our fresh catch is supplied by East Coast based, Hodgson Fish. Their own fleet of twelve trawlers catch small fish all year round, including lemon and Dover sole, brill, turbot and mackerel. In addition to this, their knowledgeable and experienced buying team liaise with all the major UK ports on a daily basis to ensure they always have the best quality and variety of fish available for you to enjoy.


Our freshly baked bread, cakes and pastries are handmade every day by our team of expert Bakers. Using traditional recipes and locally-sourced ingredients, this is home baking at its finest.

We take our hats off to our Bakery team who arrive at 4am every morning to heat the ovens, knead fresh dough and prepare the pastry for our award-winning selection of quiches, tarts and pies. Our craft bakery produces all of the cakes, desserts, sweet and savoury pies and ready-meals available in the Farm Shop, as well as a host of delicious food for the Delicatessen.
