Blacker Hall Harvest Festival 2026

Blacker Hall Harvest Festival 2026

Join us on Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th October for our very first Harvest Festival – a weekend celebrating great food, the autumn harvest and the people behind it.

There’s something particularly special about the farm at this time of year.

The fields begin to change, the Greengrocery fills with autumn produce and our Butchers, Bakers and chefs turn their attention to the comforting flavours that come with the new season.

So this October, we’re bringing it all together for our first Blacker Hall Harvest Festival.

Join us across Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October for a weekend filled with seasonal food, Yorkshire producers and makers, chef demonstrations, tastings, live music and plenty to discover around the farm.

Whether you pop in for an hour or make a day of it, we’d love you to celebrate the harvest with us.

A Celebration of the Season

Harvest has always been about more than what comes out of the fields.

It’s about farmers and growers, good ingredients, skilled people and making the most of what the season gives us.

Throughout the weekend, we’ll be celebrating all of those things with some of the Yorkshire farmers, food producers, makers and independent businesses we’re proud to work alongside.

Browse the stalls, meet the people behind the products and discover plenty of things to eat, drink and take home along the way.

Our Harvest Festival producers & makers

Full line-up coming soon...

We’ll be revealing the businesses joining us over the coming weeks, so keep checking back for updates.

Meet the People Behind Your Food

One of the things we love most about events like this is giving you the opportunity to meet some of the people responsible for the food on our shelves.

At Blacker Hall, provenance has always mattered. Our beef is reared on our own family farm here in Wakefield, while we work with trusted Yorkshire farmers and growers for everything from lamb and poultry to vegetables, eggs, milk and seasonal produce.

Harvest Festival gives us the perfect opportunity to bring more of those stories to life.

Expect producer tastings, conversations with the people behind the food and plenty of opportunities to discover something new.

Live Chef Demonstrations

Our chefs will be stepping out of the kitchen throughout the weekend for a series of live cooking demonstrations celebrating autumn ingredients and some of our favourite seasonal dishes.

Pick up a few new ideas, discover different ways to cook with the season and, most importantly, enjoy plenty of samples along the way.

We’ll be sharing the full demonstration timetable closer to the festival.

Chef demo schedule coming soon...

Something New From Blacker Hall

We’ve been busy behind the scenes too.

Harvest Festival will see the arrival of a collection of brand-new Blacker Hall products, developed by our Butchers, Bakers and kitchen teams especially for the season.

We’re keeping the details under wraps for a little longer, but festival visitors will be amongst the first to discover – and taste – what we’ve been working on.

New products revealed soon...

Plenty to Taste

It wouldn’t be a Blacker Hall food festival without plenty of tasting.

Across the weekend, there’ll be opportunities to sample favourites from around the Farm Shop alongside seasonal dishes and new products created by our own team.

From the Butchery and Bakery to our Deli and kitchens, come hungry – there’ll be plenty worth trying.

Live Music

Good food deserves a good soundtrack.

We’ll have live music across the weekend, creating a relaxed autumn atmosphere while you browse the stalls, enjoy something to eat and spend time around the farm.

Who’s playing?

Our Harvest Festival musicians will be revealed soon...

Make a Day of It

There’ll be plenty happening beyond the festival stalls too.

Bring the family, enjoy the autumn atmosphere around the farm and head over to our Little Farmers Trail to meet the animals while you’re here.

Then, when everyone starts getting hungry, make a stop at the Courtyard Kitchen or settle in for breakfast or lunch in the Barn Kitchen.

Come for the festival, stay for lunch and leave with something delicious for tea.

Autumn Food at Blacker Hall

October is one of those months when the Farm Shop really comes into its own.

Our Greengrocery begins filling with hearty seasonal vegetables, the Butchery counter turns towards slow cooking and Sunday roasts, and our Bakery and kitchens start creating the pies, puddings, cakes and comforting dishes we all begin craving as the days get cooler.

Harvest Festival is our chance to celebrate all of it.

Good ingredients. Yorkshire provenance. Skilled people. And food made here at Blacker Hall.
