There’s always something happening at Blacker Hall Farm.
From picking sunflowers and pumpkins to food festivals, family adventures and festive traditions, our calendar follows the seasons here on the farm. Come for an hour, make a day of it, enjoy something delicious while you’re here and discover what’s happening on your next visit.
From Friday 21st August | Daily, 10am–4pm
Our very first sunflower patch is ready to explore. Wander amongst rows of beautiful golden blooms, choose your favourites and cut your own stems to take home.
Entry is £4 per person, or four people for £14, and includes our Little Farmers Trail too, so once you’ve picked your flowers, there are animals to meet and plenty more to discover around the farm.

Meet some of the newest arrivals on the farm and help with their daily bottle feed.
Get up close to our baby calves, learn how they're cared for by our farming team and enjoy a wonderful hands-on experience that's perfect for children and adults alike.
There'll be plenty of opportunities for photos and questions along the way.

Throughout the Summer Holidays
Find the stamps, meet the cows and take home a cuddly prize!
Get ready for a moo-vellous adventure around Blacker Hall Farm!
Collect your activity sheet and map from the Little Farmers Trail check-in desk, then set off in search of eight cow-themed stamp stations hidden around the farm.
At each station, discover a fascinating cow fact and use the special stamper to mark your activity sheet. Once you have collected all eight stamps, head to the Farm Shop to claim your very own cuddly Highland cow toy!
£4.95 per child (Little Farmers Trail admission is also required and must be purchased separately.)

If you’re a Blacker Hall Reward Card customer, we’ve planned a little something for you every week this September.
From handmade sausages and chocolate cake to family-sized pies and our own-farm Sirloin Steaks, each week brings a different complimentary treat or exclusive saving when you spend £30 or more in the Farm Shop.

12th & 13th September
We’re taking a little taste of Blacker Hall to Holmfirth!
Come and find our team at the Holmfirth Food & Drink Festival, where we’ll be serving a selection of Blacker Hall favourites including our handmade sausage rolls, beautiful mini desserts and plenty of other treats made back at the farm.
If you’re heading to the festival, be sure to come and say hello.
3rd & 4th October
Autumn has always been a special time on the farm, and this year we’re celebrating it properly with our very first Blacker Hall Harvest Festival.
Join us for a weekend of seasonal food, Yorkshire producers, local makers, chef demonstrations and plenty to taste and discover. We’ll also be unveiling some brand-new Blacker Hall products created especially for the season.
A celebration of the harvest, the people who produce our food and everything we love about autumn in Yorkshire.
10th – 31st October | 10am–4pm
The Blacker Hall Pumpkin Patch is back!
Pull on your wellies and head into the patch to search for your perfect pumpkin, with all sorts of shapes, colours and sizes waiting to be discovered. Once you’ve chosen one, head to our painting station and turn it into your own Halloween masterpiece.
Tickets are £7 per person and include entry to our Little Farmers Trail and paint for pumpkin painting. Pumpkins are purchased separately.
Fancy dress is very much encouraged!

10th October – 2nd November
Eight mischievous monsters are hiding around Blacker Hall and they need your help to create a brand-new friend.
Follow the Halloween trail, find each monster and collect the clues they reveal. Piece them together on your activity sheet to create your very own monster before returning it to our team to collect a Halloween biscuit.
Tickets are £4, including your treat at the end.

5th, 6th & 7th November
Wrap up warm and join us for one of our favourite family evenings of the year.
Gather around the fire, toast marshmallows, tuck into warming food and drinks and finish the evening beneath a spectacular no-bangs fireworks display, designed to be kinder to little ears and the animals here on the farm.
Gates open at 5.30pm, with fireworks at 7.30pm.

Christmas magic is coming back to the farm.
Meet Santa and Mrs Claus in their cosy grotto, visit the animals in Santa’s Stables, make magical reindeer food, create festive crafts and post your letter to the North Pole. Then head into Santa’s Toy Shop, where every child can choose a special gift to take home.
A wonderfully festive farm experience designed for making family memories.
£28.95 per child. Adults do not require a ticket.
Two festive weekends this Christmas
Christmas shopping feels a little different at Blacker Hall.
Join us in our undercover, heated barn for two weekends filled with Yorkshire makers, local producers and plenty of festive food and drink. Browse gifts and treats, warm up with mulled wine, toast marshmallows around the fire and tuck into our festive food specials along the way.
With gifts, food, face painting and plenty of Christmas atmosphere, it’s a lovely way to begin the festive season.
