INGREDIENTS | TO SERVE 4 

2 tbsp rapeseed oil
 
For the batter
170g plain flour
Pinch salt
2 large eggs
170g full fat milk
Pinch of sugar
 
For the caramelised onions
3 large red onions, sliced
2 tbsp sort brown sugar
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Salt and pepper
