The increase of Beef prices

We feel certain you will have heard in the media that beef prices are at an all time high.

Farmers, butchers and food retailers and manufacturers are all facing challenges because of the price of beef which has been increasing rapidly this past six months. The majority of Blacker Hall Farm beef is farmed by us on our family farm, the remainder is from other great local farms. Our farm is not exempt from the rising costs of raising cattle.

There is no small business that wants to increase their prices but as responsible employers and farmers, we have no option. The graph illustrates the abrupt increase in cattle prices this year alone which equates to a 30% increase since Christmas.

We are committed to maintaining the quality of what we do and how we do it. That is our promise to you. Increasing our beef prices ensures the long term viability of our business, the farm and supports other local farmers and producers.
